Before you print it
- Keep the code dark and the background light. Scanners read that pairing fastest.
- Leave the blank border alone. A code printed hard against other artwork often fails.
- On a poster, aim for a code at least 3 cm wide. On a business card, 2 cm.
- Test the printed piece, not the screen. Ink spread on cheap stock can close up the gaps.

Are these QR codes free to use?
Yes, for anything, including commercial work. No sign-up, no watermark and no limit. The code points straight at your link with nothing of ours in the middle.
Do QR codes expire?
The ones made here do not. Your address is held inside the pattern itself, so the code works for as long as the page works. The ones that stop working are redirect services that put their own address in the middle.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG for screens and email. SVG for anything printed, because it stays sharp at any size. If a printer asks you for vector artwork, they mean the SVG.
Why will my QR code not scan?
Usually it is too small, too low in contrast, or printed with the light and dark parts swapped. Keep it dark on light, leave a clear border around it, and print it at least 2cm across.
