What gets checked
Eighteen things Google reads before it decides what your page is about and whether to show it.
Title tag: there, and the right length
Meta description: there, and the right length
One H1, and headings in order
Enough real text on the page
Alt text on images
Canonical tag pointing at itself
No noindex hiding the page
Mobile viewport, HTTPS, language
Open Graph and Twitter cards for sharing
Structured data, and which types
Links: internal, external, empty anchors
Page weight, mixed content, favicon
Checking
Fetching the page.
We fetch the HTML exactly as your server sends it, with no JavaScript run. That is what Google reads first, and it is the copy that decides most rankings.
Check stopped
Check the address and try again. If the site sits behind bot protection it will turn us away, and a crawler that is not Google gets the same treatment, which is worth knowing on its own.

Your score is under 60
A score of 0 means the fixes above are worth doing, and one of them usually matters more than the rest. Send us this result and one of us replies with the one fix worth doing this week. No call, no sign-up, nothing sold.
Sent. One of us replies within one working day, from a real name.
If that one fix is all your site needs, we say so in the first reply, and that is the end of it.
Want the rest of the site checked?
This tool reads one page. The leak report reads the whole site, your tracking and where your buyers search. It comes back as three leaks with a number next to each, from one of the two people who would do the work.
What this score does not tell you
- It reads one page as the server sends it, with no JavaScript run. A page that builds its content in the browser can look emptier here than it does to a visitor. Google runs JavaScript later and less often, so that gap matters.
- On-page is only part of ranking. Links from other sites, page speed and what people do after they click are not measured here.
- A robots meta tag is read. A noindex sent as an HTTP header, or a block in robots.txt, is not. Use the AI crawler checker for robots.txt.
- The score is ours. No search engine publishes one. Treat it as a to-do list ordered by weight, not as a grade from Google.
FAQ
SEO Checker, answered.
How do I check the SEO of a website?
Start with one page and read what Google reads: the title, the description, the headings, the text, the tags that say where the page lives and whether it may be indexed. This tool does that for any address in a few seconds and lists what to fix, biggest win first.
What is a good SEO score?
Above 80 here means the basics are done and the rest is polish. Between 50 and 80 the page can rank but is giving points away. Under 50 Google is guessing what the page is about. The number is ours, not Google's, so treat it as a to-do list rather than a grade.
Does this check the whole website?
No, one page per run. That is deliberate: most ranking problems are page problems, and a whole-site crawl hides them in an average. Run your homepage, then your most important service or product page, then the page that gets the most traffic.
Is this SEO checker free?
Yes. No sign-up, no limit on how many pages you check, and nothing you enter is stored.
The number is not the plan.
The list of fixes is half the job: the other half is doing them on every page, then watching what the rankings do.
A checker tells you what one page is missing. Ranking is the whole site, the words on it, and who links to it, kept up month after month. That is the programme we run.
